WEATHER
Dry, bright in west. Cloudier with showers in east.
Today:
A bright and dry day across Dumfries and Galloway with sunny spells. However Lothian and the Borders look rather cloudier with the occasional mainly light shower, falling as snow on the highest hills. Occasionally fresh northerly winds.
Tonight:
Continuing dry with clear spells and perhaps a touch of frost across Dumfries and Galloway. However it will be cloudier in the east with showers or longer spells of rain.
Wednesday:
Rather cloudy with the best of any brighter spells across the west during the morning. There will also be showers around, these most frequent in the east. Freshening northeasterly winds.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Dry and bright in west through Thursday and Friday, but cloudier with wintry showers in the east. A band of rain sleet and snow spreads south later on Saturday.
