Another amazing day - clear and cold, but there is definitely more heat in the sun by the middle of the day. The surf this week has been pretty disappointing at the open beaches of the North Coast this week, with the North wind getting in to most spots. Heard that some of the sheltered spots had had a few good waves. Not much on at all for the weekend, with a big blocking high and not much on in the way of swell generators out there. So it's small/flat pretty much from here on in, with northerly windchop - should be clear and sunny though. Might see a small pulse in for next Tuesday/ Wednesday, but we'll see - winds might be problem. Not going to be able to do the update until next Wednesday, so we'll see how things are looking then.
Tides: Low 6am/6pm. Moving off neaps.
Merino Longjohns and boxers now coming back in - should be on the site towards end of Feb. If you're on the newsletter, you cna get a pre-order going. Merino Base Layers.
Have a look at the blog to see Carlos in what is being touted as one of the biggest barrels on the North Shore.
