outlook: 1-2ft fairlyclean waves today with moderate cross-shore winds. Smaller this morning while the tide is out, and then a few waves on sets this afternoon. Smaller tomorrow and then messy 1ft waves for the weekend. Surf set to pick up again Tuesday/Wednesday.
WEATHER
Cold and damp with a frost in the north tonight.
Today:
Many places will have a cloudy day with a few outbreaks of light rain or drizzle. A few spots in the south and west could well stay dry though and have a little brightness. Feeling cold everywhere.
Tonight:
Any light rain or drizzle will tend to peter out this evening with most places becoming dry overnight. Cloud will break from the north allowing a frost to form.
Wednesday:
Further cloud with outbreaks of rain will move down from the north during the day. Some of this will turn to sleet or snow over the hills.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Mostly dry and cold on Thursday with some sunshine and the odd shower. The weekend stays mostly dry and fine but very cold with an overnight sharp frost.
