General situation for Scotland

Generally rather poor and small. No significant westerly swells mainly northerly windwaves next week but nothing bigger than a weak medium. - SoulSurfer

Weather Forecast:
Headline:
Showers will die out, but coastal mist will develop.

This Evening and Tonight:
Showers will die out leading to a bright or sunny end to the day. Low cloud will, however, become extensive around some coasts. Light, occasionally moderate, easterly winds.

Saturday:
Low cloud will retreat back to the North Sea with some warm sunshine developing inland. Cloud will increase during the afternoon bringing a few showers. Gentle east to northeasterly winds.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Large amounts of cloud with mist or fog spreading onshore and the odd spot of rain. However, sunnier breaks will develop across inland Moray and Aberdeenshire through Monday and Tuesday.

Dunnet Bay is a three mile sandy beach facing north west, and located about 5 miles east of Thurso. There are sand bar breaks along its length and a right hand break along the reefs at the northern end.
